December 3rd, 2009 – Day Three
Celebrate the holidays in Iceland!
“Why not gather family, friends and loved-ones to spend some quality time together in this stunning landscape for the holidays? Explore lava fields, volcanoes, frozen Lake Myvatn and hotsprings, together with the chance to mingle with Icelanders and other visitors in some truly unique winter activities.
The Lava House is currently available for a 6-night stay starting on 23 December, or a 5-night stay starting on 29 December, for only $1,104.
The Lava House comes with a 4×4 vehicle, its own hot tub, fully equipped kitchen, large dining area, two spacious bathrooms, lounge with DVD player, TV and a small library, as well as five bedrooms which can accommodate 12 people.”
If money were no object I would most definitely spend a few holiday days there. It wouldn’t bother me at all if light were scarce. I think it would be breathtaking and awe-inspiring to spend some time in that kind of environment, it has a beauty all its own.
I agree, Carl, it is somewhere I have always wanted to visit. Maybe… someday….
This is not where I want to travel — except I wouldn’t mind a few hours to catch those lights! I’m a not-cold sort of girl. (She said, hearing big snow is coming her way…)
Thanks for visiting and your comments. Can’t tell you how delighted I am you are posting these wonderful things!
Well, I will go to Iceland and you can go to… Southern France – how’s that? Actually, I’d like to go to France too. I do love snow, though. You just have to be dressed right!
